Background 

Judaism is the monotheistic religion of the Jews, driven by the book of Moses, the Torah, book of prophets, The Nevi'im, and the writings of the Ketuvim. Hebrew is the language used by the Jews, who influenced the culture of Mesopotamia. 

Who created Judaism, Where and How ?

Moses was the main founder of Judaism, but Jews can trace their history back as far as Abraham. Judaism was originated in Mesopotamian City of Ur around 2000BCE. 

Judaism and The West

In the West, Judaism spread by the conquerors of Roman, Assyrian, and Babylonian empires of small Jewish communities.

Judaism beliefs 

Shabbat = Jewish Sabbath, celebrated on Saturday with family meal, prayer, and candles

Rabbi = spiritual leader of synagogue, conducts service

Rabbi = spiritual leader of the synagogue conducts service

Torah = first 5 books of Bible, most sacred book of Jews

Talmud = Oral Torah, interpretations of biblical commandments

Shema =Deuteronomy 6:4; very important to Jews because it is a reminder of God

Tallit = prayer shawl worn by Jewish men
